Greece joins the MiCA register with four providers, including Piraeus Bank
ESMA's MiCA register now lists four Greek crypto-asset service providers and 359 unique providers in total.
BCash, Xenios Blockchain Group, Capital Wallet Greece and Piraeus Bank were added to ESMA's MiCA register, alongside six providers from Germany, France and Slovenia.
Oversight is split: the Hellenic Capital Market Commission supervises three of the firms, while the Bank of Greece is the competent authority for Piraeus Bank.
Binance withdrew its Greek application in June before a decision was issued.
Why it matters for banking
A growing number of EU banks holding MiCA authorisations themselves is a positive signal for crypto-related banking access in the region.
